Southland Care Center Physical Therapy
Rehabilitation Center Renovation
Maedo Architects led the physical therapy remodeling project at the Southland Care Center. The project's main goal was to unify what used to be 4 separate rooms into one large, free-flowing rehabilitation center. Through the addition of a control door and the opening of the hallway that previously divided the 4 different rooms, our team was able to capture formerly wasted circulation space to be utilized as part of the therapy suite. In addition, the re-envisioning of underutilized spaces and transforming them into inviting and highly functional spaces was expanded through the consideration of the existing courtyard adjacent to the therapy areas. The inclusion of a newly renovated therapy courtyard nearly doubled the facility's therapy space.
