Rancho Bellagio Post Acute

GM+A worked on the Rancho Bellagio project located in the Riverside UHS Medical Center in Moreno Valley. Originated as a design competition under the Integrated Care Communities master plan in the late 90s, the project was ultimately acquired as a joint venture between StoneCreek Company and Strategic Medical Properties to build the skilled nursing facility.

As one of the first SNF designs for GM+A, we incorporated our design philosophies in the early development stages to show how good design can overcome pressing variables within the long-term care industry. The 3 separate buildings, connected by pedestrian bridges, inherently provided secure outdoor courtyards that allow natural light penetration and continuous lines of sight from different building areas. Furthermore, the resident wings and dining rooms face an open area of the day care playground and serve as an imprinted reminder of the "Circle of Life" concept that Integrated Care Communities envisioned for the campus.
