Profile + History

GM+A is a unique Architectural firm that is passionate, economically responsible and committed to serving the healthcare and senior care markets by collaborating with our clients to achieve superior quality and innovative designs. For over 20 years, GM+A has grown to be one of the most recognized Architectural firms in healthcare, specializing in skilled nursing / long term care. Since 1988, GM+A’s growth endures due to our awareness of the client’s needs, cost-effective designs, and just plain hard work. We are externally focused and dedicated to doing what is right for the client by learning their internal operations, functions and needs that drive the design process.

Every year, we do hundreds of projects ranging from brand new, 120-bed ground-up facilities to boiler replacements and small remodels. Our skills combine technical knowledge with aesthetic design, and bring value to our clients by “doing it right the first time”. Acute careskilled nursing and assisted living projects have comprised the bulk of the projects successfully completed by GM+A, and we have developed close relationships with the governing agencies and have earned their trust. A project with GM+A becomes a team experience, involving the client, inspectors, contractors, engineers, and building officials.

Although primarily a healthcare-focused firm, our many other clients such as Disney, Cingular, and Marriott allow us to learn in many different ways and integrate the multifaceted aspects of design, architecture, and construction into our projects. In the future, GM+A will continue to seek new opportunities for growth in different areas, while at the same time expanding our base in the healthcare field. As the population of the United States continues to age, GM+A’s name and service to this field will only continue to grow and be in greater demand

At GM+A, we thrive on complexity and push ourselves to provide our clients with the best.
